Angelica De Mesa | Associate Attorney
Angelica Victoria (“Angie”) De Mesa’s interest in serving the elderly started when she worked in an independent and assisted living facility before starting law school. She developed a bond with her residents and they taught her how to knit, play gin rummy, and considered her as family. It was heartbreaking for her to see the residents’ health deteriorate rapidly, especially after they suffer a fall or an injury. Her relationship with the residents and first-hand observations of their living situations inspired her to someday be an advocate for those who are susceptible to abuse and neglect at the hands of their caretakers.
Angie is now an associate at Lanzone Morgan, LLP, and is licensed to practice law in California. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from University of California, San Diego with honors in 2011. She then went on to earn her Juris Doctorate and a Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine Law School in 2016. Her law school achievements include Dean’s List honors, clerking for various legal entities, and participating in the Global Justice international trip to India. The need to vindicate the injustice towards vulnerable victims is what motivates her in the fight against elder abuse and neglect. Armed with the scales of justice, Angie’s determined to tirelessly advocate for these underserved victims and put their abusers accountable for their wrongdoings.
